Over on Valkyria Chronicles Tweeter page there is a mysterious message simply stating:

“Something new loom’s on Gallia’s horizon…. are you ready?”

Now is this the DLC that Japan has already received, or is it something completely different. One would figure it is way to early to think it is a sequel, but you never know.

Whether it’s DLC or a sequel those of us who have played this wonderful game will be sitting on the edge of our seats in anticipation for further news. As always keep checking back for anymore details we uncover.

Heavenly Sword Review

We’ve all heard the comparisons… ‘Goddess of War’ is what Heavenly sword was being called up until release. Some say this is a bad thing, but honestly with the greatness that is God of War I can’t say I would complain about the comparisons. Now is this just another run of the mill hack and slasher, or does it truly deserve to be put on the shelf with God of War?

March is upon us. Hopefully that means Spring is not too far behind. Blu-Ray releases for the week seem to be in the middle of an ice storm. There are some highlights. Make that two highlights. Silence of the Lambs will be available this upcoming Tuesday. The movie that gave the world Hannibal is definitely worth a purchase. Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic is also coming our way this Tuesday. You can pick it up and get a gander of what the movie may be like. Those of you that have not read the graphic novel may want to give this a try. If you don’t want to ruin the movie, you may want to hold off. Wonder Woman is getting an animated feature and Stargate fans can rejoice for another Stargate release.

Trophies for Blast Factor and add-ons

Blast Factor was one of the first PSN games available for download. It is a top down shooter that has you taking control of a little ship in order to destroy a plethora of viruses. It compares well to other games in its genre, but does it stand on its own or simply get shuffled to the back?

Hope to see another on the PSP soon

GTA: Chinatown Wars looks to be a great title. Rockstar is well known for putting out high quality titles. Many PSP owners were upset to see that the PSP did not receive another title while the DS was receiving its first. PlayStation has already lost out on its exclusivity for the GTA franchise. This was further cemented by the appearance of exclusive DLC for GTA IV on the 360. John Koller is helping to calm those that are in dispair. Here is an excerpt from his interview with MTV Multiplayer: Read more »

Killzone 2 Update Sends Bots to the Barracks

Last night Guerrilla Games took notice of some truly skilled players shooting up the ranks (pun intended). As it turns out, there was some exploitation with the online bots feature. Servers were setup with an obscene amount of bots in order to create a Helghast or ISA shooting gallery.  Guerrilla had this to say…

Hopefully the title's a bit more creative than this!

Developer Ready At Dawn Studios was originally done with the PSP format back in June. Apparently, however, Sony has ordered up a sequel to last year’s excellent God of War: Chains of Olympus, and as such rumor has it that work has begun on a sequel. While the game, if it does exist, probably won’t ship this year, it looks like the PSP is really starting to pick up the pace again!

Probably won't see this stateside anytime soon...

The Japanese version of PS Home beta is pretty well-known for receiving Home Spaces early and relatively often. This time around, it is an Irem space. Irem is famous for the R-Type series of games. It is dubbed the “Irem Plaza” and is meant to look like traditional Japanese festivals.

The current economic woes that the world is enduring has caused several companies to fold in the recent months. Other companies have decided to make some changes in order to better deal with these awful times. Sony is doing the latter. The company is creating 2 new divisions that will better allow the company to manage its various businesses. The one that is of greatest interest to us is the one that Kaz Hirai is heading up. This division will manage Vaio PCs and the PlayStation brand.  Maybe the PS4 will be a computer after all?
