Rumor: Firmware 2.40 – Minor Messaging Improvements

With all these big new exciting features coming, sometimes it’s important to know the small things which you don’t know about. One of our insider sources has informed us that the message size limit has increased significantly - meaning you can send larger files via attachments to your friends. Another improvement is that there is an increase in the amount of messages you can hold before they have to be deleted. Both of these features may be useful for people who constantly send messages between people via PSN.

Firmware 2.40 will hit PS3s worldwide July 2nd.

They need to add a feature where you can send a short voicemail to a friend who is on or offline. Would be a lot easier than hooking up the keyboard every time I send a message.

  4. I just use the pad for psn based messages now, not meaning to be big headed but I’m a real fast typer but I can type at the same speed on my ps3 pad now, I’ve constantly used that since launch for that, I may just in fact be the world’s fastest ps3 pad typist, lol
